Toride Art Project is a project, in which the city of Toride, the residents, and the educational institutions join in activities to think over their city, town landscape, and the environment on a continual basis. On the opening of the Department of Inter Media Art at Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music, Toride city has started a regional movement to vitalize the city; initiating communication programs not only in Japan but also with people overseas. The theme of this year is "house (suburban housing)."
